You can't carry the weight of yourself
A brand new novel sits on your shelf
The floor is buried by blankets and clothes
I guess it's my fault that you can't disclose
The bed's a place of comfort
But something that you run to
It's colder when you leave it
So you always have your reasons
Insulation is poor in both ways
Paper-thin layers have turned your head grey
I'm not much better, I've been there before
I've watched those garments get lost in the floor
The bed's a place of comfort
But something that you run to
It's colder when you leave it
So you always have your reasons X2
These tracks are straightforward and concise, never relying on gauzy metaphors to complicate her declarations of love. Bandcamp Album of the Day Dec 20, 2017
This is the most interesting album from the discography
Heading into a more country/kind of experimental direction, this project plays with it's sounds every which way it can
Lots of pianos and violins on this one, which I'm usually not a fan of, but I believe it's the way they're arranged which makes this album an exception
I like to think of this as "dad's childhood in the rural area and also watched old horror movies"
